Ambassadors in Concert in Athens

Under the auspices of H.E. the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Evangelos Venizelos

Charity Concert followed by a reception

Friday 14 March 2014, 8.30pm at Parnassos Hall, Athens in aid of SOS Children’s Villages Greece

Our concert programme includes music and entertainment performed by ambassadors and diplomats, their spouses, their friends, and professional musicians and singers.

After the concert, a reception will be held at the Parnassos Hall for all invitation holders.

Invitations including the reception cost €15, €25 and €35 and are available only from SOS Children’s Villages Greece, tel. 210-33 13 661 or email [email protected].

Ambassadors in Concert (AiC) was formed in 2003 by Ambassadors accredited in Vienna, Austria and their friends. More than 70 diplomats from all over the world have taken part in the annual concerts in Vienna. All performers and organizers volunteer their services, so that all the net proceeds can go to charitable purposes.

This year, AiC has arrived in Athens. Ambassadors in Concert in Athens has been organised by diplomats accredited to the Hellenic Republic, under the leadership of H.E. Ambassador Melitta Schubert, Ambassador of Austria to Greece.

The profits from the evening will benefit SOS Children’s Villages Greece, a Greek charity association which is part of an international non-governmental organisation. SOS Children’s Villages Greece helps children who are in need of care because they have lost their parents or are homeless for other reasons. The proceeds of the evening will support the children’s educational programmes they run all over Greece.

Our contribution is both a symbolic and practical act of support to charity, coming from state representatives, and their friends and guests, in their private capacities.

Further donations to SOS Children’s Villages Greece are very welcome, and can be made on-line at sos-villages.gr/content/help/54-dwrea-on-line.
